Hillsville Flea Market

heard about this giant flea market just across the state line in Hillsville VA. So I packed everyone up and headed that way… I had some sourcing to do for a few new products as well as some things for DrX.

The Flea market was HUGE! tons of shitty food plus the people watching was uncomfortable. We ran into a few people we knew suprisingy enough our next door neighbors who invited us over to there newly acquired Plantation home outside of Winston Salem. After the show we headed that way… this place is amazing so much history and its absolutely gorgeous. Our neighbors have been working on it for about a year and are doing an amazing job!. They took us the eat at a local “hot spot” called the Hillbilly Hideaway, this place is awesome we walked in sat down and they brought us a ton of food. No menus, no ordering, you just get what you get!.. so damn good.

NYC: ate the big apple and left the core.

Spent a few days thinking and working in NYC… first day the cab driver dropped my laptop bag while trying to “help” and ended up putting it out of commission… this ended up being a blessing in disguise. I got so much done while up in the city…

I had a few meetings for work but still managed to eat so much good food! Hit the meatball shop if you are in NYC go check it out. hopefully they will be featuring the buffalo chicken meatballs with blue cheese cream sauce! Also had some pork belly dumplings at another spot…these were so damn good!

Finished up the trip by hanging out with my GRADIENT buddys… we checked out the Agenda and Capsule shows then ate some more balls and sauce at our favorite local spot, Vincents… Ran into a few long lost pals along the way… wish I could have hung out longer but I had to get on my plane to get back home… or sit on the tarmac at LGA for 2 hours.

Great Time.

EYES ARE OPEN AND FOCUSED ON THE PRIZE

Random Inspiration: Infinitley Curious.

Just things I ran into… Been living in my head this week… things are looking up UP UP!

Be your own man not someone elses.

“When you’re eight years old, you’re pretty much oblivious to the opinions of others. You can wear a superhero cape to the grocery store, pretend to be a pirate at a party, and declare that your aunt’s blouse is ugly, all without a second thought to the judgment of others. Then one day, most likely in middle school, some snot-nosed kid makes a crack about your Spider man t-shirt, and while you pretend to blow it off, the t-shirt never again sees the light of day. You slowly become keenly aware of your friends’, family’s, and society’s expectations for how to should act, dress, and behave. You lose your inner-compass.”

“If you don’t know who you are, what you value, and what your goals are, than you’ll find yourself easily buffeted about by any wind of change. You will become a chameleon of a man, trying on new indentifies as you move amongst different groups of people. You must come to a keen understanding of what lies at your core, building a firm foundation so that when criticism comes, when setbacks come, you will not be tempted to doubt yourself.”
